{"id":111658,"date":"2019-03-20T00:15:54","date_gmt":"2019-03-19T16:15:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=239933"},"modified":"2019-03-20T00:15:54","modified_gmt":"2019-03-19T16:15:54","slug":"xiaomi-takes-on-google-paytm-with-india-pay-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2019\/03\/20\/xiaomi-takes-on-google-paytm-with-india-pay-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Xiaomi takes on Google, Paytm with India pay launch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tXiaomi unveiled its Mi Pay mobile payments app for India, further increasing competition in the country\u2019s already crowded mobile payments market.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese company commenced a \u201clarge scale trial\u201d [1] of the service late in 2018 and formally announced commercial availability today (19 March).<\/p>\n<p>It provides mobile peer-to-peer payment services and bill payment, and was developed in partnership with ICICI Bank using protocols defined by The National Payments Corporation of India.<\/p>\n<p>The launch means the manufacturer, which vies for leadership of India&#8217;s smartphone\u00a0market with Samsung [2], enters a space also targeted by some of the largest technology companies operating in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Among its rivals will be India app Paytm, backed by Alibaba and SoftBank;
