在台灣，蔡英文總統將於今日中午過後，前往民進黨中央黨部，登記參與黨內總統初選，之後出訪太平洋三個島國帕勞、瑙魯及馬紹爾群島，回程時過境夏威夷。<\/p>\n

蔡英文回應前行政院長賴清德參與初選，表示賴清德是她很緊密的工作夥伴，很多人擔心，黨內的競爭會不會引起內部團結的困難，蔡英文表示，她一直都是團結民進黨的人，從來不怕挑戰，不管是2008年民進黨重建的挑戰，和國民黨競爭的挑戰，甚至是大陸文攻武嚇的挑戰，她都沒有退卻過。<\/p>\n
