{"id":115935,"date":"2019-03-25T19:50:39","date_gmt":"2019-03-25T11:50:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=240447"},"modified":"2019-03-25T19:50:39","modified_gmt":"2019-03-25T11:50:39","slug":"czech-competitor-slates-google-browser-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2019\/03\/25\/czech-competitor-slates-google-browser-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"Czech competitor slates Google browser plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tGoogle\u2019s search engine rival in the Czech Republic, Seznam, complained it was losing market share because of the former&#8217;s anti-competitive practices and urged the tech giant to reveal more information about plans to boost search apps [1] on Android devices, Reuters reported.<\/p>\n<p>Last week Google\u2019s SVP of global affairs and chief legal officer Kent Walker explained in a blog post the company will \u201censure Android phone owners know about the wide choice of browsers and search engines available\u201d as part of steps to placate the European Commission (EC), which fined it\u00a0\u20ac4.3 billion in July 2018 for for abusing the dominant position of its operating software.<\/p>\n<p>Reuters stated Seznam attracts as much advertising spend as Google in the Czech Republic and first complained to the EC about losing users to the search giant three years ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTime is running out, every day makes a difference. Seznam is losing market share because of Google\u2019s search\u00a0engine installed by default on mobiles,\u201d said Michal Feix, Seznam\u2019s former chief executive and now a partner at a consultancy advising the company, said in a statement viewed by Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to Walker\u2019s post, Feix added: \u201cIt is probably the solution we are looking at but it depends on the details.
