The maximum setting turns the world virtually silent as you type, sit on an airplane, or just exist alongside other chatty people. You can use a less intense setting to let in some sound, perhaps for safety reasons. And when you turn off noise cancelling entirely, ambient sounds are picked up by the mics and piped into your ears in a pleasantly natural way, like you aren\u2019t even wearing headphones.<\/p>\n<p>Those mics also help with call clarity and voice controls, other nifty features. Using touch controls on the outer panels you can easily access voice assistants like Siri and Alexa for hands-free control of your smart home appliances.
