It&#8217;s even more capable when you pop it into its dock. But while the Switch itself is built for travel, the dock definitely is not. There&#8217;s really not much to it, but the bulky plastic shell takes up a fair amount of space.<\/p>\n<p>Enter Human Things, who make &#8220;epic things for elevated play experiences.&#8221; The epic thing they cooked up for Switch owners is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/humanthings\/genki-covert-dock\"  rel=\"noopener\">Genki Covert Dock<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/humanthings\/genki-covert-dock\/widget\/video.html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"> <\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s pretty much the same size as a standard USB wall charger but it does way more than just juice up your Switch and its accessories. Despite being 22 percent smaller than Nintendo&#8217;s AC adapter, the Covert Dock is a full-on Switch dock alternative that fits right in your pocket.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1799207\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.geek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/genki.jpg?resize=450%2C382&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"382\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.geek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/genki.jpg?resize=450%2C382&#038;ssl=1 450w, https:\/\/www.geek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/genki-300x255.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Unlike some other solutions that are available, the Covert Dock supplies the power. Just flip out the prongs and plug it in to any standard AC outlet. They&#8217;re sourcing quality components and will be getting the Covert Dock certified to ensure it conforms to standards.<\/p>\n<p>The Dock features a custom charging chip that will only use a Switch-friendly profile when supplying power to your precious portable and will stick to USB power delivery standards for other devices.<\/p>\n<p>Human Things has even designed the Covert Dock so that its firmware can be upgraded.
