Nintendo\u2019s first truly polygonal machine delivered bedrock texts for gaming in the third dimension like<em> Super Mario 64<\/em> and <em>The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time<\/em>. But instead of lamenting a smaller N64 than may never come, celebrate this fire-breathing N64 that\u2019s here right now.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex-video widescreen embed\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TBEPvu7idjM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Created by modder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patreon.com\/user?u=16161891\"  rel=\"noopener\">BitHead1000<\/a>, and reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/kotaku.com\/finally-a-nintendo-64-that-can-breathe-fire-1837166871\"  rel=\"noopener\">Kotaku<\/a>, the Heavy Metal Nintendo 64 is a radical reinterpretation of the console that spits flames along with playing cartridges. The replica case (complete with spinning 3D \u201cN\u201d logo) is made of out metal instead of plastic to keep the whole thing from melting. Inside you\u2019ll find two gas valves and lighter fluid tubes.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t an emulator box of anything, just a shell for the original N64. So you can plug in your old controllers and cartridges just fine. The demo uses latest <em>Super Smash Bros.<\/em> newcomers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/games\/who-will-be-the-last-two-super-smash-bros-ultimate-fighters-1791658\/\"  rel=\"noopener\"><em>Banjo-Kazooie<\/em><\/a>. But now when collecting jiggies the console is passively on fire with its two front torches. Pressing a new red button also spits two jets of flames into the air like an illegal magic show.
