{"id":157366,"date":"2019-08-21T18:57:16","date_gmt":"2019-08-21T10:57:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=253273"},"modified":"2019-08-21T18:57:16","modified_gmt":"2019-08-21T10:57:16","slug":"tecno-powers-latest-feature-phone-with-kaios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2019\/08\/21\/tecno-powers-latest-feature-phone-with-kaios\/","title":{"rendered":"Tecno powers latest feature phone with KaiOS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tAfrica-focused Chinese player Tecno Mobile launched its latest 3G feature phone, the T901, the first of its devices running the KaiOS operating system.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Tecno said the move was significant for both companies&#8217; bid to close the digital divide, by \u201cbringing users-previously inhibited by device affordability \u2013 online for the first time\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>KaiOS has designs on becoming the world\u2019s third largest operating system [1], behind the duopoly of Android and Apple\u2019s iOS, with its core proposition of offering smartphone functionality in a feature phone form factor.<\/p>\n<p>The OS enables use of social media apps including WhatsApp and Facebook alongside Google Assistant and GPS in low cost devices.
