It promises to be the biggest entry in the series yet with a mysterious revamped campaign and exciting upgrades to multiplayer modes like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/games\/of-course-gears-5-has-a-horde-mode-1800606\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">Horde<\/a>\u00a0and Escape. But if it felt there was a big wrestler-shaped hole in the game don\u2019t worry, it\u2019s about to be filled. Finally, we can play as Dave Bautista in <em>Gears of War<\/em>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">It\u2019s about damn time. These include Spartans from <em>Halo<\/em> as well as Punished \u201cVenom\u201d Linda Hamilton playing Sarah Connor in the upcoming <em>Terminator: Dark Fate<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Well now Dave Batista is about to enter this mad world. On September 15, after the WWE Clash of Champions (of course), the wrestler-turned-actor will next turn into a playable character. And this is perfect for a few reasons. One, Bautista was once trying to star in a live-action <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/movies\/gears-of-war-is-being-adapted-into-a-movie-1673580\/\"  rel=\"noopener\"><em>Gears of War movie<\/em><\/a> that never wound up happening, so at least he still gets to be in the franchise.<\/p>\n<p>Also, Bautista is one of the few actual real-life human beings with a beefy enough physique to not look completely ridiculous standing next to tree trunk men like Marcus Fenix. It\u2019s the same reason why <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/games\/review-crackdown-3-is-a-terry-crews-xbox-sim-1773812\/\"  rel=\"noopener\"><em>Crackdown 3<\/em><\/a>, if nothing else, was brilliant to cast Terry Crews as a superpowered comedy cop.<\/p>\n<p><em>Gears 5<\/em> launches on Xbox One and PC on September 10.
