Today they’re unveiling an epic addition to the Ultimate Collectors Series to mark the anniversary.

This is the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer, a stunningly-detailed tribute to one of the most memorable opening scenes in cinematic history. It’s not Lego’s first take on the iconic ship, but it’s by far the biggest and most complex.

The first UCS Imperial Star Destroyer came out way back in 2002. When its 3106 pieces were fully assembled, it measured just under two feet long. Total weight: about two pounds.

For their 2019 remake, Lego has added more than 1600 additional pieces. The new UCS Imperial Star Destroyer puts those extra pieces good use by increasing its span to a jaw-dropping 43 inches.
