It only recently found fame, though, as a stand-in for the fictitious Yorkshire estate of Downton Abbey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The castle, Egyptian exhibition, and gardens are open to the public for self-guided tours during the summer, as well as Christmas and Easter.
