{"id":164077,"date":"2019-09-24T17:00:43","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T09:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=255993"},"modified":"2019-09-24T17:00:43","modified_gmt":"2019-09-24T09:00:43","slug":"google-moves-to-ease-assistant-privacy-fears","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2019\/09\/24\/google-moves-to-ease-assistant-privacy-fears\/","title":{"rendered":"Google moves to ease Assistant privacy fears"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tGoogle pledged not to allow its staff to listen to conversations on its voice Assistant without user consent, in a move designed to ease concerns around data privacy.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, senior product manager of Google Assistant Nino Tasca apologised for staff listening and transcribing audio data from the personal assistant, stating \u201cit\u2019s clear that we fell short of our high standards in making it easy for you to understand how your data is used\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It was revealed in July that the company\u2019s workers listen to and review recordings of user interaction with the voice assistant. Tech giants Apple [1] and Amazon also admitted to running similar programmes on their respective Siri and Alexa voice assistants.<\/p>\n<p>Protections<br \/>\nGoing forward, Google\u2019s Tasca explained that human reviewers may listen to customers\u2019 audio snippets to help improve speech technology only after users have confirmed they wish to do so.
