{"id":164154,"date":"2019-09-25T01:56:08","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T17:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=256150"},"modified":"2019-09-25T01:56:08","modified_gmt":"2019-09-24T17:56:08","slug":"mobile-leaders-talk-climate-collaboration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2019\/09\/25\/mobile-leaders-talk-climate-collaboration\/","title":{"rendered":"Mobile leaders talk climate collaboration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tRepresentatives from the mobile industry, finance and development sectors took to the stage at the Concordia Summit in New York today (24 September) to discuss ways to use mobile tech to tackle climate change and other global challenges.<\/p>\n<p>GSMA director general Mats Granryd (pictured, right) highlighted the mobile industry\u2019s recently announced climate initiative [1] and explained how mobile is also enabling others to do similar, across both the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cScale is important and that is best achieved by partnerships, so there\u2019s never been a better time for true public-private-partnerships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Orange CEO Stephane Richard (pictured, second from right) added: \u201cEvery industry needs to organise and make commitments [to meeting the SDGs], and figure out how to do so collectively.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Granryd cited several datapoints from the 2019 edition of the GSMA\u2019s Mobile Industry Impact Report [2], which tracks the industry\u2019s role in contributing to delivery of the SDGs year-on-year.
