Jackson will be running your smart home setup soon: Amazon recently announced that the movie star is lending his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Samuel-L-Jackson-celebrity-voice\/dp\/B07WS3HN5Q\"  rel=\"noopener\">memorable voice<\/a> to Alexa devices.<\/p>\n<p>The e-commerce giant announced the exciting update at an event on Wednesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/tech\/2019\/09\/25\/samuel-l-jackson-first-celebrity-voice-amazon-alexa\/2447992001\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">USA today reported<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/movies\/samuel-l-jackson-calls-out-spider-man-far-from-home-poster-error-1793158\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">Jackson<\/a> will be the virtual assistant&#8217;s first celebrity voice and the best part is that you can opt for a &#8220;cursing&#8221; option on your Alexa-run gadgets.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex-video widescreen\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/videos\/blueprint:1On8YmyvlB\/embed\/?player=geek&amp;mute=true\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The voice, which was created with neural text-to-speech technology, will be available in two versions for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/tech\/mcdonalds-taps-alexa-to-recruit-new-hires-1805340\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">Alexa<\/a> electronics: A clean version and explicit version that will launch later this year. This Alexa &#8220;skill&#8221; won&#8217;t be free though, you&#8217;ll have to shell out 99 cents for an introductory offer, then pay $4.99 after the promo period ends, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Samuel-L-Jackson-celebrity-voice\/dp\/B07WS3HN5Q\"  rel=\"noopener\">says the feature&#8217;s page on Amazon.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/tech\/amazon-admits-it-keeps-alexa-voice-recordings-indefinitely-1794386\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">Amazon<\/a>, Jackson will announce the weather forecast, sing happy birthday, tell jokes, set alarms, and play your favorite beats.
