You don’t need a time machine to visit the age of dinosaurs: Lego this week unveiled<\/a> a new prehistoric set of bricks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The three-in-one fossil kit\u2014available in stores and online from Nov. 1<\/a>\u2014lets budding paleontologists test their skills by building a <\/span>T. rex<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Triceratops<\/span><\/i>, and <\/span>Pteranodon<\/span><\/i> (technically a pterosaur reptile).<\/span><\/p>\n

Each poseable model (built to 1:32 scale) comes with a museum-worthy display stand and “interesting facts” about the giant lizards, so you can curate your specimens in your own natural history exhibition.<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, that’s my husband’s Christmas gift sorted.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Dinosaur Fossils set\u2014another Lego Ideas fan creation\u2014was submitted by Jonathan Brunn, a graphic and web designer from France.<\/span><\/p>\n

“When I was little, my passion for dinosaurs was almost obsessional,” he said in a statement. “Dinosaurs were the most incredible thing ever for me, so I made this project to please my inner child.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I would have loved it as a kid,” Brunn continued. “And I think every kid who loves dinosaurs and science would agree with me.”<\/span><\/p>\n

For $60, you get 910 pieces to build and create\u2014not to mention a paleontologist minifigure and <\/span>Lego sapiens<\/span><\/i> skeleton, as well as dinosaur egg, bone, hat, and book elements for added realness.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>T. rex<\/span><\/i>\u2014king of the tyrant lizards that it is\u2014aptly stands out among its skeletal mates, measuring more than 7 inches tall and 15 inches long.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once you’ve finished making the deceased dolls stomp around your desk, consider donating them to be gifted to children’s non-profits.<\/span><\/p>\n
