That\u2019s why the idea of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/television\/what-the-hell-is-the-young-pope-1685492\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">Young Pope<\/a> is so crazy to consider. However, as the modern world moves forward, the Vatican has tried random ways to keep up, from the Pope\u2019s Twitter page to this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/tech\/vatican-unveils-click-to-pray-wearable-rosary-device-1807536\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">digital rosary<\/a>\u00a0that lets you click to pray.<\/p>\n<p>And what\u2019s more modern than video games! As you might expect, the Vatican hasn\u2019t had the best relationship with our favorite Satanic digital art form that turned <em>Dante\u2019s Inferno<\/em> into a brainless hack and slack with fake \u201cPrayStation\u201d protests. Plus you could beat up the old Pope in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/games\/watch-assassins-creed-ii-is-a-game-to-play-before-you-die-1759200\/\"  rel=\"noopener\"><em>Assassin\u2019s Creed II<\/em><\/a>. But then we remembered <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/games\/holy-moly-the-pope-has-a-copy-of-undertale-1660613\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">this new Pope has <em>Undertale<\/em><\/a>\u00a0so maybe things are looking up. And now the Vatican has its very own <em>Minecraft<\/em> server.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex-video widescreen embed\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OkYjxCkEcd4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>No, the Pope didn\u2019t spin up this server himself. He\u2019s probably one of the few people on the planet blessed enough to not know who Notch is. Rather, tech blogger turned Catholic Priest Father Robert Ballecer ran a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/padresj\/status\/1167941336219045888\"  rel=\"noopener\">Twitter poll<\/a>\u00a0to see what game he should bring to the holy city. Rejecting more violent, dour games like <em>RUST<\/em> and <em>Ark<\/em> and <em>Team Fortress 2<\/em>, responders picked the kid-friendly building game that turns players into their own loving (or vengeful) god.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can invite people who want to be creative, who don&#8217;t want to be toxic, and you create an environment in which people can express themselves and build up a relationship,\u201d Ballecer told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OkYjxCkEcd4\"  rel=\"noopener\">Rome Reports<\/a> (as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/the-vatican-has-its-own-minecraft-server\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">PCGamer<\/a>). \u201cAnd the relationship thing is the most important part.
