{"id":181190,"date":"2019-12-04T18:47:15","date_gmt":"2019-12-04T10:47:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/featured\/-1812618\/"},"modified":"2019-12-04T18:47:15","modified_gmt":"2019-12-04T10:47:15","slug":"google-chief-sundar-pichais-new-side-hustle-alphabet-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2019\/12\/04\/google-chief-sundar-pichais-new-side-hustle-alphabet-ceo\/","title":{"rendered":"Google Chief Sundar Pichai\u2019s New Side Hustle: Alphabet CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure>\n\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.geek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/pichai-Jeff-ChiuWaPo-650x366.jpg?resize=640%2C360&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"figcaption\">Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet (via Jeff Chiu\/The Washington Post)\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Larry Page and Sergey Brin have grown Google from a PhD research project to a multinational technology company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, 21 years later, the pair are resigning their fatherly duties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blog.google\/inside-google\/alphabet\/letter-from-larry-and-sergey\"  rel=\"noopener\">Tuesday blog post<\/a>, Brin and Page announced that Google CEO Sundar Pichai <a href=\"https:\/\/abc.xyz\/investor\/news\/releases\/2019\/1203\"  rel=\"noopener\">will take over<\/a> as chief executive of parent company Alphabet Inc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;He will be the executive responsible and accountable for leading Google and managing Alphabet&#8217;s investment in our portfolio of Other Bets,&#8221; Page and Brin wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Sundar brings humility and a deep passion for technology to our users, partners, and our employees every day,&#8221; they continued. &#8220;He shares our confidence in the value of the Alphabet structure, and the ability it provides us to tackle big challenges through technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;There is no one that we have relied on more since Alphabet was founded,&#8221; the blog said. &#8220;And no better person to lead Google and Alphabet into the future.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The pair will &#8220;remain actively involved&#8221; in the corporation, continuing to serve as board members, shareholders, and co-founders.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"embed\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I\u2019m excited about Alphabet\u2019s long term focus on tackling big challenges through technology.
