(Photo Credit: Jay Maidment \/ CTMG, Inc.) <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Tom Holland may have been a bit tipsy when he hopped on the phone with Disney CEO Bob Iger to discuss <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/movies\/tom-holland-may-have-helped-bring-spider-man-back-to-mcu-1806048\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">Spider-Man&#8217;s future in the MCU<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The star recently appeared on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1-NPFORuPCw\"  rel=\"noopener\"><em>Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em><\/a>, where he discussed the important conversation and why he wanted to save the superhero, <a href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/2019\/12\/05\/tom-holland-drunk-saved-spider-man-mcu-interview-video\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">Hollywood Life reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flex-video widescreen embed\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1-NPFORuPCw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Holland told Jimmy Kimmel about how bummed he was about the Spider-Man feud and why he was sad about not taking pictures with his Marvel buddies at D23.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the sad news, Holland asked for Iger&#8217;s email address and sent him a personal thank you note.\u00a0\u201cI just wanted to say, \u2018This has been an amazing five years of my life,\u201d Holland said. \u201c\u2018Thank you for changing my life in the best way and I hope we can work together in the future.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Iger immediately replied and asked Holland to speak on the phone. A few days later, Holland was spending time with his family at a pub when Iger called and he was caught a bit off guard.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m like three pints in, right? Haven\u2019t eaten much and I get a phone call from an unknown number. I have a feeling,&#8221; Holland explained. &#8220;I think this is Bob Iger. Iger reportedly responded with\u00a0\u201cThere is a world where we can make this work,&#8221; which made Holland very emotional.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI weeped,\u201d Holland continued. \u201cNo, I didn\u2019t weep\u2026 I did, yeah.
