But <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/guides\/macbook-pro-diary\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">my Diary pieces<\/a> are all about how my impressions build over time with real-life use, so it&#8217;s less important in this case that I took delivery of mine exactly a month after it first went on sale.<\/p>\n<p>I hadn&#8217;t initially planned to buy it because, <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2019\/11\/14\/15-inch-vs-16-inch-macbook-pro-comparison\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">on paper<\/a>, it simply didn&#8217;t seem to be enough of an upgrade:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Very similar physical size<\/li>\n<li>Slightly larger, slightly higher-res screen with thinner bezels &amp; custom refresh rates<\/li>\n<li>A completely redesigned scissor keyboard<\/li>\n<li>New CPU, GPU, RAM and storage options<\/li>\n<li>Better speakers and microphones<\/li>\n<li>An extra hour of claimed battery life<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Playing with it for about half an hour in an Apple Store <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2019\/12\/06\/buying-the-16-inch-macbook-pro\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hadn&#8217;t really changed my mind<\/a>: this was still something of <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2019\/12\/06\/buying-the-16-inch-macbook-pro\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a distress purchase<\/a> for me&#8230;<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2019\/12\/17\/16-inch-macbook-pro-review\/#more-623299\" class=\"more-link\">more&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2019\/12\/17\/16-inch-macbook-pro-review\/\">MacBook Pro Diary: My 16-inch MacBook Pro review begins, albeit a little late<\/a> appeared first on <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/\">9to5Mac<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If I were writing a conventional review, my 16-inch MacBook Pro review would be a little late to the party.
