We also expected to see Razer, the beloved gaming peripheral manufacturer, at the show as well\u2026 if only to see the CEO dodge some awkward questions about his <a href=\"https:\/\/kotaku.com\/razer-ceo-berated-and-threatened-his-staff-former-empl-1840240823\"  rel=\"noopener\">reported behavior<\/a>. And at CES 2020 we saw both of the things together in the new Razer Sila 5G gaming router.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Re-define the standards of ultra-low latency and connectivity\u2013\u2013the new Razer Sila 5G Home Router concept is amongst the first to adopt connection that&#8217;s optimized for cloud gaming. But in 2018 they also put out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/review\/365406\/razer-sila\"  rel=\"noopener\">Razer Sila<\/a>, adding some gamer-friendly features to the router idea. The Sila\u2019s FasTrack engine maintained low latency and high bandwidth with dynamic network optimization, and could tell the difference between different consoles and their different needs.<\/p>\n<p>The Sila 5G maintains that tech but adds the game-changer that is 5G, a network that\u2019s potentially better than some home Wi-Fi setups. The router also works as a 5G mobile hotspot and can be controlled and customized via an app.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re not as excited about the future of cloud gaming following the disappointment of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/tech\/review-google-stadia-just-isnt-finished-yet-1810564\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">Google Stadia<\/a>, but the dream of streaming games over the internet hasn\u2019t died yet. This holiday\u2019s new consoles, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.geek.com\/games\/playstation-5-vs-xbox-series-x-everything-we-know-about-next-gen-consoles-1792542\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X<\/a>, will just lead to another push thanks to services like PlayStation Now and Project xCloud. So a device like the Razer Sila 5G should help keep online connections as smooth and stable as possible when playing these massive next-gen AAA games.<\/p>\n<p>However, like many CES products, the Razer Sila 5G is currently just a concept rather than something to buy now. In fact, the collaborative way it was made in Razer\u2019s home country Singapore means it\u2019s currently locked to that region, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/news\/razer-sila-5g-home-router-looks-like-a-tower-of-5g-gaming-power-ces-2020\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">CNET<\/a>.
