{"id":207685,"date":"2020-01-09T23:51:58","date_gmt":"2020-01-09T15:51:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=265998"},"modified":"2020-01-09T23:51:58","modified_gmt":"2020-01-09T15:51:58","slug":"twitter-to-trial-reply-blocking-features","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2020\/01\/09\/twitter-to-trial-reply-blocking-features\/","title":{"rendered":"Twitter to trial reply blocking features"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tTwitter detailed plans to test new features enabling users to control who can reply to their tweets, in an effort to protect against harmful speech and posts, BBC News reported.<\/p>\n<p>The new features were unveiled at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, with Twitter aiming to conduct tests early this year.<\/p>\n<p>It plans to place posts into four categories: global, where all can respond; group, allowing replies from people a user follows or mentions; panel, covering only those named in a post; and statement, which blocks replies completely.<\/p>\n<p>The move is the latest in a series of efforts by Twitter to combat misuse.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2019, CEO Jack Dorsey detailed plans to create standards all social media companies [1] could use to tackle harmful speech and posts.
