Early last week, the gaming world lost its collective mind over rumors<\/a> that PS4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn<\/em><\/a>, was coming to PC. As the success of Xbox\u2019s Play Anywhere initiative has proven, gamers want the freedom to play their favorite titles on as many devices as possible. With that in mind, Sony releasing their big-time exclusives on PC doesn\u2019t seem so outlandish. In fact, it sounds downright inevitable.<\/p>\n

If Horizon Zero Dawn<\/em> comes to PC it stands to reason that Sony will release more of its top-tier games on the platform. But which exclusives should make the trek from PlayStation?<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve compiled a list of PlayStation 4 games that would shine on PC. While we could have included titles from older PlayStation systems, we\u2019re sticking with PS4 since its games would be easier to convert. We\u2019re also not including Horizon Zero Dawn<\/em> since that one is more or less a lock for PC.<\/p>\n

Anyway, let\u2019s get into it.<\/p>\n

Marvel’s Spider-Man<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Marvel\u2019s Spider-Man<\/em><\/a> is the best selling PS4 exclusive so it\u2019s a natural candidate for PC conversion. The game is already a visual powerhouse on PS4. On PC, it\u2019ll look even more impressive with true 4K resolution. More importantly, having the game running at 60fps (or higher) will make the already tight and responsive combat feel even better. Spider-Man<\/em> would be downright spectacular on PC.<\/p>\n

God of War<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

2018\u2019s God of War<\/em><\/a> is arguably the best-looking game on PS4; making it perfect to port over to PC. The major advantage this edition would have over its console counterpart is higher frame rates. This would not only make the game look better, but it\u2019ll also make it play smoother. I know that\u2019s saying a lot considering its already flawless combat. But on PC, players could feel even more badass. Of course, having native 4K graphics to enhance the already gorgeous visuals is a huge plus as well.<\/p>\n

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End<\/h3>\n

\"Uncharted<\/p>\n

Any of the Uncharted<\/em> games would be great on PC but Uncharted 4: A Thief\u2019s End<\/em><\/a> is the entry that could take the most advantage of the platform. The game\u2019s impressive and expansive environments would come to life in a way not possible on PS4. Everything from its lush jungles, barren wastelands, and deserted islands would simply pop. This, along with The Last of Us<\/em>, would give Naughty Dog\u2019s powerful in-house engine the ability to better flex its visual muscles.<\/p>\n

Days Gone<\/h3>\n

\"Days<\/p>\n

The defining feature of Days Gone<\/em><\/a> is the number of zombies the game can throw at players at any given moment. While it\u2019s both thrilling and terrifying trying to escape or take down hundreds of the undead on PS4, this isn\u2019t always a stable experience frame rate-wise. A PC port of Days Gone<\/em> could reduce or eliminate this issue because of the more powerful hardware. A steady framerate would benefit the game overall if we\u2019re being honest. Days Gone<\/em> can best live up to its potential on PC.<\/p>\n

Bloodborne<\/h3>\n

The only major drawback Bloodborne<\/em><\/a> has on PS4 is its framerate. That isn\u2019t to say the current framerate is unstable (because it isn\u2019t) but it can sometimes dip below its intended 30fps baseline. As you can imagine, this makes some of the already difficult enemy encounters more harrowing. It\u2019s not hard imagining what Bloodborne<\/em> would perform like on PC. One need only look at PC ports of the Dark Souls<\/em> games to get an idea of how amazing Bloodborne<\/em> would run on the platform. As with every other game on this list, a visual boost is a given.<\/p>\n

Shadow of the Colossus<\/h3>\n

Shadow of the Colossus<\/em><\/a> on PS4 brought the class<\/a>ic PS2 game up to modern-day graphical standards with its improved textures and higher framerate. A PC port would take both of these to the proverbial next level. More than updated graphics, having Shadow of the Colossus<\/em> on PC would allow more players to experience one of the best titles released in the past 20 years. If you can consider any game a work of art, Shadow of the Colossus<\/em> is definitely in the running for such a distinction and should be on PC.<\/p>\n

The Last of Us Remastered<\/h3>\n

One of the most obvious candidates for a PC port is none other than The Last of Us<\/em><\/a>. Considered one of, if not, the best PlayStation game ever<\/a>, it practically screams for a PC port. We know this would have superior graphics and frame rates, but how would the online component fare? After all, PC gamers have a distinct advantage over their console-playing kin thanks to mouse and keyboard controls. At the same time, Naughty Dog designed The Last of Us<\/em> around a controller. This could help even the odds. Regardless, this one would no doubt be a huge title if it ever made it to PC.<\/p>\n

Persona 5<\/h3>\n

Though not from a Sony first-party studio, we had to toss Persona 5<\/em><\/a> on this list purely because of the insane demand from the PC community. Already a gorgeous, stylized game, it would be difficult making Persona 5<\/em> look better — even at 4K resolution. A higher frame rate wouldn\u2019t help gameplay since this is a turn-based RPG. The reason for a PC port is purely so those who\u2019ve been asking can get their hands on it. And to be fair, Persona 5<\/em> is one of the best JRPGs of the decade<\/a> so it\u2019s a must for PC conversion.<\/p>\n

inFAMOUS Second Son<\/h3>\n

\"infamous<\/p>\n

God of War<\/em> (2018), The Last of Us Remastered<\/em>, and Bloodborne<\/em> get the most accolades when it comes to best-looking PS4 games. But folks mustn\u2019t forget that inFAMOUS: Second Son<\/em> is the first true graphical beast on Sony\u2019s current-gen system. This title has no shortage of eye candy thanks to its array of vibrant (and explosive) superpowers. A steady framerate of 60fps (or higher) will make battles feel more visceral and exhilarating. From a visual-effects standpoint, inFAMOUS: Second Son<\/em> would sing on PC.<\/p>\n
