{"id":212092,"date":"2020-01-23T17:16:13","date_gmt":"2020-01-23T09:16:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=267370"},"modified":"2020-01-23T17:16:13","modified_gmt":"2020-01-23T09:16:13","slug":"union-blasts-att-caribbean-asset-sale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2020\/01\/23\/union-blasts-att-caribbean-asset-sale\/","title":{"rendered":"Union blasts AT&amp;T Caribbean asset sale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tUS union The Communications Workers of America (CWA) urged regulators to block a proposed sale of AT&#38;T\u2019s assets in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, arguing the transaction threatens hundreds of jobs and could delay 5G rollouts on the islands.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Department of Justice are currently reviewing the deal, which was announced in October 2019 [1]. CWA represents nearly 900 of the 1,300 AT&#38;T workers expected to be transferred to Liberty Latin America as part of the deal.<\/p>\n<p>In a filing with FCC, the union said it had been unable to obtain \u201cany firm commitment\u201d from Liberty Latin America related to job security.
