{"id":52041,"date":"2019-01-09T19:41:22","date_gmt":"2019-01-09T11:41:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=231832"},"modified":"2019-01-09T19:41:22","modified_gmt":"2019-01-09T11:41:22","slug":"vuzix-opens-ar-glasses-to-consumers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2019\/01\/09\/vuzix-opens-ar-glasses-to-consumers\/","title":{"rendered":"Vuzix opens AR glasses to consumers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tSmart glasses company Vuzix announced consumer availability of its Blade AR Smart Glasses, albeit with a hefty $999.99 price tag.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, the company said the wearable is &#8220;the first and only fashion forward full colour, see-through smart glasses available on the market today for consumers that support app developers and applications running directly on the glasses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Blade Smart Glasses platform includes an Android-based OS for the device; a cloud-based service platform being developed specifically for Blade; and a \u201cgrowing ecosystem of apps and software development firms around the world\u201d which are working with Vuzix.<\/p>\n<p>Vuzix described its wearable as a \u201csmart display with a see-through viewing experience using Vuzix\u2019s proprietary waveguide optics and full colour Cobra II display engine in a truly wearable form factor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It also includes an HD camera, to enable users to \u201csee, recognise, respond to and record the outside real world\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Shipments of the consumer version of the device are expected to begin by the first week of February.<\/p>\n<p>Vuzix has some pedigree in the nascent smart glasses market through its work in the enterprise space.
