{"id":61397,"date":"2019-01-22T02:07:32","date_gmt":"2019-01-21T18:07:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=232904"},"modified":"2019-01-22T02:07:32","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T18:07:32","slug":"france-hits-google-with-e50m-fine-for-gdpr-violations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2019\/01\/22\/france-hits-google-with-e50m-fine-for-gdpr-violations\/","title":{"rendered":"France hits Google with \u20ac50M fine for GDPR violations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tFrance\u2019s National Data Protection Commission (CNIL) slapped Google with a \u20ac50 million fine for violating transparency and consent provisions in the EU\u2019s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), marking the agency&#8217;s first enforcement of the privacy law.<\/p>\n<p>CNIL said it examined the configuration process for Android devices, during which users are required to create a Google account, and found the company failed to provide \u201ceasily accessible\u201d information about how user data is collected, processed and stored.<\/p>\n<p>It also determined Google did not gain appropriate permission for advert personalisation since consent collected when users agree to Google&#8217;s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy is\u00a0&#8220;neither &#8216;specific&#8217; nor &#8216;unambiguous'&#8221; as required by GDPR.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The information on processing operations for the ads personalisation is diluted in several documents and does not enable the user to be aware of their extent&#8230;It is not possible to be aware of the plurality of services, websites and applications involved in these processing operations and therefore of the amount of data processed and combined,&#8221;
