{"id":79647,"date":"2019-02-14T00:45:14","date_gmt":"2019-02-13T16:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=235482"},"modified":"2019-02-14T00:45:14","modified_gmt":"2019-02-13T16:45:14","slug":"vapor-io-targets-faster-edge-compute-deployments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2019\/02\/14\/vapor-io-targets-faster-edge-compute-deployments\/","title":{"rendered":"Vapor IO targets faster edge compute deployments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tData centre company Vapor IO forged a coalition of software, hardware and networking companies which aims to accelerate the roll out of edge compute technology in the US.<\/p>\n<p>By bringing together disparate parts of the edge ecosystem, Vapor IO CEO Cole Crawford said the Kinetic Edge Alliance will help remove \u201cthe guesswork from edge deployment and operations that exists today\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDelivering edge computing at scale, across the entire United States, requires a great deal of collaboration,\u201d he added. \u201cThe alliance will accelerate the rollout of edge computing, delivering a platform for wireless operators and application providers to deliver new edge-enabled products and services to customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Initial partners include Federated Wireless, Linode, MobiledgeX, Packet, StackPath, Alef Mobitech, Detecon International, Hitachi Vantara, New Continuum Data Centers, Pluribus Networks, and Seagate Technology.<\/p>\n<p>The group aims to launch edge compute equipment and services across the top 30 US metropolitan markets, beginning with six cities in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Vapor IO\u2019s edge architecture Kinetic Edge gave the group its name.
