{"id":85947,"date":"2019-02-20T00:33:15","date_gmt":"2019-02-19T16:33:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mobileworldlive.com\/?p=236190"},"modified":"2019-02-20T00:33:15","modified_gmt":"2019-02-19T16:33:15","slug":"huawei-chief-plays-down-us-threat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itteacheritfreelance.hk\/test\/wordpress\/2019\/02\/20\/huawei-chief-plays-down-us-threat\/","title":{"rendered":"Huawei chief plays down US threat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        \tHuawei founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei (pictured) insisted efforts by the US government to stifle its business won\u2019t succeed, noting it can overcome\u00a0short term difficulties by scaling-back operations and shifting its investment priorities, BBC News reported.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview, Ren stated there is \u201cno way the US can crush us,\u201d adding \u201cAmerica only represents a portion of the world\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The US government recently took steps to push the Chinese vendor out of the market due to security concerns and\u00a0applied pressure to its allies [1] to do the same.<\/p>\n<p>Ren, who recently stepped back into the limelight to defend the company after not giving interviews for years, reiterated Huawei does not pose a threat [2] and said he would &#8220;shut the company down&#8221; if any spying activity took place.<\/p>\n<p>Ren argued countries cannot entirely abandon Huawei because \u201cwe\u2019re more advanced\u201d than the competition.
