Call of Duty: Warzone players have suffered from the annoying Stim glitch several times in the past, making its latest appearance unsurprising. However, a new Call of Duty: Warzone update supposedly fixes the issue while making other key changes to the popular battle royale game.
Call of Duty: Warzone’s Stim glitch has appeared appeared six times in the past, and while Raven has removed the bug several times, it always manages to make a return. With past removals being temporary, it remains to be seen if this “new fix” will actually succeed at keeping the glitch out of the game. With Raven sharing with players that “the issue stemmed from players getting stuck in throwback state after throwing back a live grenade,” hopefully knowing the source of the problem has led to a permanent removal.
With the news that the Stim Glitch is gone following a massive wave of bans for cheaters, Call of Duty: Warzone seems to be in a better state than it has been in for some time. Further, with Call of Duty: Warzone streamers saying that the removal of 60,000 cheaters has been effective, it seems like many of the players that would have used the stim exploit have been permanently banned. Several other issues were fixed as well, such as crashing, XP reward problems, and progress tracking bugs.
Call of Duty: Warzone’s Armored Royale game mode has returned to the free-to-play game, with the mode seeing each team being given a vehicle that they can use as both a respawn point and a way to get around the map. A chaotic mode that relies on strategy, rocket launchers, and explosives, the game mode has proven to be a fan favorite in the past. Fans of Rebirth Island will see Resurgence Trios making a comeback, a decision that should please any teams of three.
At the same time, three player squads that enjoy playing the Plunder game mode will be having to pick up a random player or take on a greater challenge. Plunder: Blood Money Trios has been removed in favor of Plunder Quads, meaning that players will get less money from killing others and should prioritize looting instead. With Blood Money Trios being the only game mode removed, fans can continue enjoying the rest of last week’s playlists.
With the stim glitch hopefully squashed, cheaters banned, and a new meta in effect, players can begin looking forward to new content. With Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 2 coming at the end of the month and Call of Duty: Warzone’s one-year anniversary arriving in March, there is plenty of potential for the game to evolve in a major way.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
