A new event will be starting soon in Pokemon GO that is based around the upcoming Paris Fashion Week. This event will be starting on October 2nd, 2020 and will be ending on October 8th, 2020.
Various Pokemon that are caught during this Pokemon GO event will have special accessories. Those wanting to have all of the special event varieties of Pokemon will have a lot to catch during this time, with four different fashionable Pokemon already being confirmed.
With this event lasting a week, there will be a lot of time for players to take advantage of the new finds. There will additionally be new event exclusive field research tasks to complete throughout the event’s duration.
The four Pokemon confirmed to have special accessories so far are Smoochum, Kirlia, Shinx, and Croagunk. If players hatch a Smoochum from a 7km egg during this event, it will have a bow. Kirlia and Shinx will be appearing as raid bosses during this event and will be wearing top hats. In addition, Kirlia will know the exclusive move Draining Kiss. Finally, Croagunk will appear as a surprise encounter with GO snapshots wearing a backward cap.
Other Pokemon will also have their spawn rates increased with this event. The ones that are currently confirmed are:
- Mareep
- Skitty
- Roselia
- Kricketot
- Croagunk
- Blitzle
- Cottonee
- Minnccino
- Gothita
The shiny form of Kricketot has also been additionally released with this event, meaning that Kricketune’s shiny form has also been released. Players wanting a shiny Kricketot should take advantage of this event’s spawn rates.
Another plus to this event is a free bag accessory item that players can equip to their Pokemon trainers. While the event is active, players can go to the in-game shop and get an official Longchamp bag for their trainer. The same bag can be purchased from Longchamp in real life that celebrates the collaboration after the event has started.
It is currently unknown what the specific field research tasks involved with this event will entail or the other Pokemon that will have increased spawn rates during the event. It is also unknown if the accessorized Pokemon released for this event will be able to evolve and keep their stylish fashion items.
As mentioned before, the Longchamp x Pokemon Fashion Week event will last from 8:00 am GMT on Friday, October 2nd, 2020 up until 10:00 pm GMT on Thursday, October 8th, 2020. More updates and news about this event are sure to surface the closer it comes to the event’s start date.
