In Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6’s new Armored Royale mode, some fans are noticing strange circle placements. While the randomized circle of Warzone has long been a mystery to players, it has always landed in survivable areas. That fact no longer applies, as Armored Royale’s circle seems to have a mind of its own.
As players race across the map blasting each other’s armored Warzone trucks to bits, the gas provides a constantly evolving threat. Just like in a normal battle royale, the gas continues to drive players towards each other and forces confrontation. As players escape the zone, they must constantly watch for other players who might be lurking on the other side.
In the image posted to Reddit, user Pashikaro shares a sight that has been reported by several fans. The circle is shown spawning off the right side of the map, far away from anywhere that players have access. The red dotted line shown in the image represents the edge of the map that limits where players are able to travel. Crossing the border displays a warning that players are outside the bounds of the game, but the circle seems to have other ideas. As the gas closes in, Warzone players are left with this strange situation where being last one standing might be the gas’s decision rather than the surviving players.
Still, the glitch did have some random positive side effects. As the game came to a conclusion, there were several armored Warzone trucks all lined up as they waited for the incoming gas cloud to finish the match. Many fans have no idea what they would do if this happened during one of their games, but some players are sure it would be absolute chaos.
With the zone closing on map sections that can not be reached, players are left wondering how this could happen. Since the beginning of Warzone, the circles have been fairly consistent. This glitch seems to be solely manifesting in Armored Royale, making many players think it’s the speed up factor added to the zone’s code.
Still, other fans argue that the zone error could be part of a completely separate problem. As players continue to enjoy the hectic fast-paced action of Armored Royale, they must now be on the lookout for future zone sections for fear that they may end up with a zone in the middle of the ocean.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
