Although Ubisoft hasn’t officially listed the Nintendo Switch as one of the platforms for Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time Remake, there’s a mounting pile of evidence to suggest the game is coming to the system. Some players are being to wonder if they can expect to see the Prince of Persia remake on the Switch, or not, and it seems practically a given at this point.
After some very convincing-looking Nintendo Switch box art for the PoP remake surfaced online in September, Ubisoft tweeted that the game would be on the Switch on their French website. Since then, several listings for a Switch version have been found on retailer websites from Guatemala, the UK, and Greece. However, the game’s trailers and website haven’t listed Nintendo Switch as an option for the game.
Now, a Russian retailer has listed the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake for the Nintendo Switch. The release dates for both this Russian site and one of the UK retailers are the same, January 21st, 2021.
Ubisoft has even mistakenly tweeted that it was coming to Nintendo Switch, then edited the tweets to remove the mention of the Switch. So fans of the series are left completely confused and in the dark as to whether Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake is coming to the Switch or not.
If the game is coming to Switch, this is one of the worst kept secrets in recent memory. And if it’s not coming to Nintendo Switch, then a lot of retailers are operating under an incorrect assumption.
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake is in development.
