The Haunting of Verdansk event has begun with a new patch earlier today. This in-game event for Call of Duty: Warzone <\/em><\/strong>and Modern Warfare <\/em>is bringing Halloween goodies to the store through an update on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em><\/a> fans should prepare, as Verdansk is in for a scare.<\/p>\n

There is a lot of new content headed to Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em>\u00a0<\/i>during this event. A brand new Nightime Battle Royale map has been added\u00a0<\/em>along with a new playlist for both Warzone <\/em>and Modern Warfare.\u00a0<\/em>New bundles have also appeared in the store themed after\u00a0Saw <\/em>and\u00a0Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Nighttime Battle Royale update to Call of Duty: Warzone <\/em><\/a>will add in some new challenges for players dropping into the match. Nighttime will make the game much darker, resulting in an increase in stealth opportunities. Thermal and night vision gear will also become more important while perks like Ghost and Cold-Blooded are sure to be rotated into set as counters.<\/p>\n

If the darkness was not enough, a new Zombie Royale mode has been added, giving players a chance to survive Verdansk during a zombie apocalypse<\/a>. This limited-time mode will allow the dead to return as zombies with increased speed, jumps, melee attacks, and thermal vision. Players have to survive as long as possible while the dead hunt the living.<\/p>\n

The event is also adding a new Trick or Treat scavenger hunt<\/a> where players must find specially marked Supply Boxes scattered across the map. There are 16 total locations for players to trick or treat at, and collecting all of the boxes offers them a special bonus blueprint.<\/p>\n

As for Modern Warfare’s <\/em>Multiplayer, a new playlist has been added called Onslaughter. This features a battle over a Juggernaut suit<\/a> that spawns randomly on the map. Players must advance towards the suit while taking on minigun fire as they try to bring down an opposing juggernaut and claim\u00a0it for their team. This juggernaut, along with all juggernauts during the season, will come with a pumpkin head. Alongside this new mode are the playlists Gunfright and Halloween Moshpit, which are spooky variants of popular lists.<\/p>\n

The Saw<\/em> and Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/em> bundles<\/a> are officially available in the in-game store. Each of these bundles costs 2,400 CP, and both come with a total of 10 themed items including a killer skin.<\/p>\n

Call of Duty: Warzone <\/strong><\/em>is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.<\/p>\n
