Though\u00a0Genshin Impact<\/em><\/strong> has only been officially available for about a month, players have\u00a0plunged far into the game’s depths. Among\u00a0the expansive terrains and myriad treasures offered by the game, players will find valuable items known as Ascension materials, one of which is the unique Brilliant Diamond Sliver.<\/p>\n

The main\u00a0character featured in\u00a0Genshin Impact<\/em><\/a> is\u00a0the nameless Traveler, who begins their journey as an Anemo-wielder. Many players will quickly begin to unlock additional playable characters, but even so,\u00a0most will find\u00a0the versatile Traveler making their way back into the party.<\/p>\n

Explorers who already spent some time completing Genshin Impact<\/em> daily commissions and quests<\/a> may have begun to approach the upper limits of their characters’ levels. Once a character reaches Level 20, they will need to be Ascended before continuing to level up (until they reach their next level cap, which requires\u00a0Ascension yet again.)<\/p>\n

Although the act of Ascension is simply triggered from the character’s status page, each instance of it requires several unique ingredients that vary from character to character. Generally speaking, characters who share the same Element\/Vision<\/a> will share similar Ascension materials, but those who’ve raised their Traveler to\u00a0the point of Ascension\u00a0may have stumbled across one\u00a0unique ingredient: Brilliant Diamond.<\/p>\n

Like other precious stones, Brilliant Diamond can\u00a0be obtained\u00a0as Slivers, Fragments, Chunks, and Gemstones. That being said,\u00a0this rare material currently only serves on purpose in\u00a0Genshin Impact<\/em>: Ascending the Traveler character. Given that it’s only used to upgrade the Traveler at the moment, even some experienced players may have progressed through the game without encountering it.<\/p>\n

Unless players were actively using and enhancing the Anemo\/Geo-wielding Traveler character, there would be no reason to notice this\u00a0distinct Ascension material.\u00a0And of course,\u00a0it’s understandably frustrating to try and upgrade a character at the late-game stage and\u00a0not know how to locate\u00a0the required materials. Thankfully, players won’t need to visit a Domain of Forgery<\/a>, or anything of the sort, for this material.<\/p>\n

Probably due to\u00a0their hyper-specific use, Brilliant Diamond Slivers are unbelievably easy to acquire. There is actually no way to farm the valuable\u00a0stones in-game, instead, players simply acquire a bundle of the ingredients upon achieving Adventure Rank 15 in Genshin Impact<\/em><\/a>. The\u00a0Slivers don’t automatically enter a player’s inventory, so explorers will need to head to Mondstadt and interact with Katheryne to claim their Ascension materials. Once a player reaches AR 15, it’s as simple as collecting the Brilliant Diamond Slivers from Kat at the Adventurers’ Guild.<\/p>\n
