Last night, a lawsuit was filed that was drafted by several US State Attorneys General calling out Google for its anti-competitive conduct and dominance in the search service industry. Google replied in a blog post, responding to some of the claims that the lawsuit set forth.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s lawsuit by the Department of Justice is deeply flawed. People use Google because they choose to, not because they\u2019re forced to, or because they can\u2019t find alternatives.<\/p>\n

The lawsuit would do nothing to help consumers. To the contrary, it would artificially prop up lower-quality search alternatives, raise…<\/p>\n\n
