Hearthstone<\/strong><\/em> fans rejoice! The six-year-old card dueling game is receiving a rather beefy update, including a new mode and the addition of achievements.\u00a0Hearthstone<\/a><\/em> has been one of the most popular and beloved card-collecting games since it launched in 2013. One of the reasons for the sustained success is Blizzard Entertainment supporting the game so well. Today, it was revealed that fans have a lot to still look forward to.<\/p>\n

Among the exciting announcements is a new mode coming to\u00a0Hearthstone.\u00a0<\/em>Duels is the name, and it looks to be a bit of a combination of Dungeon Run with PVP competition. The mode sees players building the deck during matches in an arena vs other players.\u00a0The mode is free, but a paid Heroic Duels will also be available.\u00a0This is only a part of the\u00a0big reveal for\u00a0Hearthstone<\/em><\/a>\u00a0that was being hinted at for over a week.<\/p>\n

The other part of the update is a huge overhaul to the progression system of Hearthstone.<\/em>\u00a0This part of the update will come on November 12, and it includes an achievement system, a shakeup to quests,\u00a0an update to the player profile section, and more. Achievements, in particular, is something fans have been asking for for years. This all comes after the rewards system was overhauled recently in Hearthstone<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Players can also look forward to an entirely new expansion,\u00a0Madness at the Darkmoon Faire. There will be 135 new cards in this expansion, and a new keyword “Corrupt” will shake up the gameplay, which will assuredly alter\u00a0strategies in Hearthstone<\/em><\/a> moving forward.<\/p>\n

Hearthstone<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is available now for Android, iOS, and PC.<\/p>\n
