As is typical of\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> games, there are some Pokemon in the\u00a0<em>Crown Tundra<\/em> expansion that are exclusive to one version over the other,\u00a0with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-sword\/\"><em>Sword<\/em><\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-shield\/\"><em>Shield<\/em><\/a> getting exclusive access to five Pokemon each.<\/p>\n<p><em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> players have exclusive access to Gen 1 fossil Pokemon Omanyte and Omastar, as well as Bagon, Shelgon, and Salamance.\u00a0<em>Pokemon Shield<\/em> players, meanwhile, can catch Kabuto, Kabutops, Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp. Any\u00a0<em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em> players that want to fully <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-pokedex-completion-guide\/\">complete their Pokedex<\/a> will need to trade Pokemon with somebody that has the opposite version of the game that they do.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-go-galarian-ponyta-sirfetchd\/\">Pokemon GO Adds Galarian Ponyta, Sirfetch&#8217;d<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Overall, there aren&#8217;t too many version exclusive Pokemon in\u00a0<em>Sword\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em>&#8216;s Crown Tundra DLC, so it shouldn&#8217;t be too difficult for players to add the necessary Pokemon to their collection and complete their Pokedex. Back in August, a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-crown-tundra-exclusives\/\"><em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em>\u00a0<em>Crown Tundra<\/em> exclusives list leaked<\/a> and showed significantly more version-exclusives, but it appears that the leak was incorrect or those plans were scrapped.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static1.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/pokemon-crown-tundra-1.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Omanyte<\/li>\n<li>Omastar<\/li>\n<li>Bagon<\/li>\n<li>Shelgon<\/li>\n<li>Salamence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Kabuto<\/li>\n<li>Kabutops<\/li>\n<li>Gible<\/li>\n<li>Gabite<\/li>\n<li>Garchomp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One of the main draws of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-plot-setting-story-price-dynamax-adventure-star-tournament-returning-new-legendaries\/\"><em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em>&#8216;s\u00a0<em>Crown Tundra<\/em> DLC<\/a> is the ability to catch all of the legendary Pokemon from previous games in the series. Some of the legendary Pokemon may be exclusive to certain version&#8217;s Max Raid Battles, but otherwise players should be able to catch all of the legendary Pokemon for their collection, regardless of version. It will still be a tough task for sure, but at least this way players don&#8217;t have to rely on trading to get all of the\u00a0<em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em> legendary Pokemon.<\/p>\n<p>For the most part, the legendary\u00a0Pokemon in\u00a0<em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield&#8217;<\/em>s\u00a0<em>Crown Tundra<\/em> DLC will be as players remember them from previous games in the series. However, the legendary birds from Gen 1 (Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres) have Galarian forms that make them look quite a bit different than their Kanto counterparts.
