Needless to say, MMO players get a lot of value out of this, not to mention tons of wonderful storytelling to experience.<\/p>\n

Skyforge<\/em> rides\u00a0an interesting middle ground between\u00a0science-fiction and fantasy, blending the best of both genres to fashion a unique and intriguing setting. In Skyforge<\/em>, players are thrust into the role of an immortal hero defending their planet from hostile forces. The New Horizons<\/em> update added a considerable amount of new story content, adding to the longevity of Skyforge<\/em>. While not the most\u00a0celebrated massively multiplayer online role-playing game, it is\u00a0free-to-play, so players can experience this narrative without spending a dime. There is some pay-to-play content, but the majority can be accessed without spending money.<\/p>\n

Expansions like Stormblood, Heavensward,<\/em> and Shadowbringers<\/em> add depth to the story in many ways. Although the game was dubbed a failure at launch, a turnaround made this into a\u00a0masterpiece.<\/a><\/p>\n

This massively multiplayer online role-playing game is an independent, standalone title. With a budget of over $200 million, no expense was spared. As a fun note, classic RPG fans will be thrilled to know that the game contains dialogue choices for each conversation. It was an ambitious project, but ultimately, the end result was worth it.<\/p>\n

Could it have been any other MMO? Some of the later expansions like\u00a0Mists of Pandaria<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Cataclysm<\/em>\u00a0may not have received the same acclaim as some previous expansions,\u00a0but\u00a0World of Warcraft<\/em>\u00a0undeniably features some of the most deep-reaching story and lore to be found in the gaming industry. It can’t be forgotten that The Lich King and Illidan are among the greatest video game villains of all time. Blizzard has invested literal decades building out Warcraft<\/em> lore, and it shows.<\/p>\n

Come to World of Warcraft<\/em> for the grind but stay for the story \u2014 the fine balance between well-crafted gameplay and a stunningly detailed setting is why millions\u00a0are still invested in this game,<\/a> despite it having released way back in 2004.<\/p>\n
