Apex Legends is still going strong<\/a>. A new “Stories\u00a0From The Outlands” trailer\u00a0places the spotlight on the next legend: Dr. Mary Somers or, as she’s known\u00a0in the Apex games: Horizon.<\/p>\n

Horizon\u00a0used to be one of the galaxy’s leading energy scientists. Tasked with preventing a\u00a0energy crisis on her home plant of Olympus, she was sent on a mission\u00a0to find energy crystals \u2013 a key to preventing catastrophe.\u00a0Before Horizon\u00a0left, she promised her son that she would return to him, safe and sound. However, she\u00a0was ultimately\u00a0betrayed and abandoned in the far reaches of space. Horizon\u00a0survives with the help of the energy crystals that she collected on the mission, but she returns home too late: 87 years have passed and her home planet of Olympus was never saved.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Horizon’s abilities have not been announced, but if previously released legends are any indication, she will likely change the competitive meta in some way. We’ll\u00a0find out more about her as well as how\u00a0Season 7<\/a> will build upon or completely change Season 6<\/a>\u00a0updates\u00a0on November 4.<\/p>\n\n
