Last month, Nvidia released the RTX 3090, one of the company’s latest video cards\u00a0taking over the graphics market right now<\/a>. Of course, given its $1,500 price tag, much is expected from the RTX 3090, and it’s even said to be the fastest GPU on the market that’s even capable of 8K gaming. However, it appears now that one thing the RTX 3090 can’t do is to run Watch Dogs Legion<\/strong><\/em> in 4K\/Ultra with a consistent 60 fps.<\/p>\n

This claim came from YouTuber RajmanGamingHD, who shared a video from the built-in benchmark tool in Watch Dogs Legion<\/a>.<\/em> As shown in the video, the user ran Watch Dogs: Legion<\/em> with Ultra settings and the game barely registered 60 fps, given that the frame rate keeps dropping and averages between 54 and 44 fps. During scenes that contain explosions and the like, the framerate even dropped to 47 fps, and it is worth noting that this test run was done without\u00a0ray-tracing effects.<\/p>\n

Given the RTX 3090’s steep price tag, these benchmark results are disappointing, especially since Watch Dogs Legion<\/em> is\u00a0a cross-generation game and not a true next-gen title.\u00a0Of course, there may be other factors that weren’t shown in the video, but if the RTX 3090 is\u00a0truly incapable of running Watch Dogs Legion<\/em> at 4K\/60fps, players shouldn’t expect much from the RTX 3080 and other less powerful GPUs. Although the PS5 and Xbox Series X are still unreleased, Ubisoft revealed that both consoles would be able to run the game at 4K\/30 fps with ray tracing on<\/a>.\u00a0Of course, the console benchmarks are less powerful than the RTX 3090 but not by much, especially since the test done on the RTX 3090 was without ray-tracing effects.<\/p>\n
