Last September, Sony hosted a huge PlayStation 5 event<\/a> that revealed the console design itself, alongside some games that will be released on the next-gen console. During the event, Capcom revealed Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition<\/strong><\/em>, which is an upgraded version of the 2019 game that will\u00a0be released to both the PS5 and Xbox Series X\/S.<\/p>\n

Over the past few weeks, Capcom has been teasing some of the features that players can expect in Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition,<\/em> including fast loading times on the PS5<\/a>. Yesterday, Capcom confirmed that the PS5 and Xbox Series X would support raytracing in Devil May Cry 5.<\/em> Unfortunately, the same isn’t true for the Xbox Series S. Of course, this news doesn’t come as a surprise given that the Series S is designed to be the less-powerful version of the Series X in favor of an affordable price.<\/p>\n

However, players who are eyeing the Xbox Series S<\/a> shouldn’t worry that much given that Capcom revealed in a tweet that it is “just now scratching the surface of what they can do.” This could mean that there is a possibility that ray tracing will be added to the Xbox Series S version of the game in the future. Additionally,\u00a0the developer also said that it would explore the full capabilities of all next-gen consoles in the future.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Capcom revealed that all versions of Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition<\/em><\/a> will support framerates of up to 120 fps, 3D audio, Turbo Mode, the Legendary Knight Difficulty level, and a playable Vergil. Unfortunately for players who will stay with current-generation consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Devil May Cry 5<\/em> will not be getting the majority of these new features. However, they will still be able to play as Vergil via a paid DLC.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

At the end of the day, it is interesting to see just how much\u00a0gamers will embrace the Xbox Series S in the future. It is worth noting that console manufacturers do not usually release affordable yet inferior\u00a0consoles alongside the more powerful\u00a0flagship models. Sure, the PS5 is also releasing a cheaper version of the console at launch, but the only difference is that one model is purely digital while the other contains a disc drive and is a little bit more expensive. In terms of power,\u00a0both the normal PS5 and the all-digital model<\/a> contain the same technology inside.<\/p>\n
