With official confirmation that <em>Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness<\/em> will be canon to the world portrayed in the video games, it\u2019s no wonder then that the producers chose this particular art style.<\/p>\n<p>The big question then becomes just how the two will be connected and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/resident-evil-movie-series-order\/\">where exactly this story is going to slot in<\/a> as far as the games\u2019 timeline goes. Despite the similarities, the slightly older look could rule out any possibility for <em>Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness<\/em> to pick up right after the events of the <em>RE2<\/em> in Raccoon City, so perhaps this puts the series closer to <em>RE4<\/em>, when Leon was working as government agent, something that would\u00a0jibe well with his suit attire in the trailer; or maybe even further down the line of RE6, given the longer hairstyle.<\/p>\n<p>Something else to keep in mind, is that <em>Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness<\/em> will come out with an <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/resident-evil-manga-anniversary\/\">accompanying manga that will serve as a tie-in<\/a> to the show&#8217;s plot, so there&#8217;s also that to keep an eye on.
