There are plenty of new features coming to the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/ps5\/\">PlayStation 5<\/a> that will excite adopters of the console.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most treasured features of the PlayStation 4 was how the console handled archiving player&#8217;s trophy collection. Upon achieving the parameters for a trophy, not only would a notification pop up at the bottom telling players which trophy they just earned, but the PlayStation 4 would also take a screenshot of the current moment to memorialize that historical event, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cuphead-ps4-trophy-list\/\">beating one of <em>Cuphead<\/em>&#8216;s many difficult bosses<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps5-streaming-apps-amazon-prime-hulu-launch\/\">PS5 Missing Major Streaming Apps at Launch<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>While taking a screenshot of the moment the trophy was collected is a cool feature, the PlayStation 5 completely upgrades this feature in a really interesting way. Greg Miller of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps4-exclusive-game-tournament-kinda-funny\/\">Kinda Funny Games<\/a> recently posted on Twitter exactly how this feature has changed. In his video, Miller shows that the PS5 records a brief lead-up to the moment the trophy was collected so that players can see a few seconds of gameplay before triumphantly earning the achievement. This will give players a whole new way to share their gaming successes.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GameOverGreggy\/status\/1321062829772787712\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Not only does the PlayStation 5 record the moments leading up to the trophy&#8217;s completion, but the video itself is laden at the bottom with the name of the trophy the players is collecting as well as the type of trophy: bronze, silver, gold, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/sony-real-platinum-trophy\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the coveted platinum<\/a>. The effort Sony has put into place to make earning a trophy something memorable for the player is clear. While the trophy Miller earned in the video is a simple one, this new way of archiving the moment makes even the smallest trophies feel just that much more important.<\/p>\n<p>Further to the point, this will certainly highlight some of the more hard-to-get achievements. Imagine getting to instantly record the moment a player finally manages to defeat a particularly nasty boss in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/demons-souls-remake-gone-gold\/\">the <em>Demon Souls <\/em>remake<\/a>, getting to see the exact way they slayed the beast. Or think about how this can help players share ways they&#8217;ve solved some of the more difficult puzzles in <em>Bugsnax<\/em>. The possibilities for sharing exciting gaming moments is endless with this feature.<\/p>\n<p>There is also the worry of exactly how much internal memory these clips will take up. A screenshot is one thing, but having multiple videos taken on the PlayStation 5 may end up filling up quicker than players realize, especially those who purchase the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps5-reasons-buy-digital-disc-versions\/\">digital only version of the PlayStation 5<\/a>. While deleting the videos will certainly be an option, it may not be something players want to do every time they unlock a trophy. It&#8217;s also possible that these videos will be stored on the cloud, and so storage won&#8217;t ben an issue at all.
