The Head of Riot Forge, Leanne Loombe, said this is part of Riot&#8217;s efforts to expand the <em>League of Legends<\/em> series to PC and consoles.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/league-of-legends-wild-rift-2021\/\">League Of Legends Wild Rift Won&#8217;t Come to the US until 2021<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The game is being developed by Airship Syndicate, the same developer who worked on <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/darksiders-genesis-review\/\"><em>Darksiders Genesis<\/em><\/a>\u00a0with comic book legend Joe Madureira as the lead.\u00a0<em>Ruined King: A League of Legends Story&#8217;s<\/em>\u00a0announcement trailer shows off familiar <em>League of Legends<\/em> champions in action before setting off for a nautical adventure. The trailer shows Miss\u00a0Fortune and Illaoi having a bar brawl, Braum fighting enemies in the tundra, Yasuo and Ahri facing an enemy together, and Pyke leaping\u00a0into the maws of a kraken-like sea beast.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PpRRLYJ5fIQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>After each battle introduction, the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/league-legends-champions-best-worst-beginners\/\"><em>League of Legends<\/em> champions<\/a>\u00a0all assemble walking down a street before setting sail on a ship together towards a\u00a0mysterious location\u00a0where the titular Ruined King finally makes his\u00a0debut. The game synopsis states that the game will have the assembled <em>League of Legends<\/em> champions explore the shady port town of Bilgewater\u00a0and travel to the haunting Shadow Isles shrouded\u00a0by the swirling Black Mist. The champions\u00a0will work together to face the mysterious new villain, the Ruined King.<\/p>\n<p>The game is being developed\u00a0to be accessible for\u00a0both old and new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/legends-of-runeterra-meme-deck-code\/\"><em>League Of Legends<\/em> fans<\/a>\u00a0as the\u00a0new game\u00a0explores more of RuneTerra and adds a new journey for players.
