In a separate interview, Winslet described the sequence as a dance being performed\u00a0as <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/avatar-2-underwater-scene-details-kate-winslet-navi\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">part of a Na&#8217;vi ceremony<\/a>. As indicated by the photo, Winslet&#8217;s role as\u00a0Ronal, a free-diver of the Metkayina clan, will require the use of\u00a0performance capture technology.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/officialavatar\/status\/1320771383396388866\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The release of <em>Avatar 2<\/em> was postponed by Disney due to the production delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, moving from December 2021 to December of the following year.\u00a0With filming on the sequel able to resume\u00a0somewhat faster than most other Hollywood projects, the cast and crew still had to\u00a0go into <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/avatar-2-james-cameron-quarantine\/\">quarantine for 14 days after arriving in New Zealand<\/a>. The production was also required to adhere to government-approved\u00a0health and safety production protocols.<\/p>\n<p>A similar fate fell upon the cast and crew of <em>Mission: Impossible 7<\/em>, which was able to resume production closer towards the end of summer. Fortunately for Tom Cruise,\u00a0who continues to find creative ways to put himself in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mission-impossible-7-tom-cruise-christopher-mcquarrie-speeding-train-video\/\">perilous situations for the purpose of entertaining audiences<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of records, James Cameron is likely hoping <em>Avatar 2<\/em> can top the box office performance of Marvel Studios&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fortnite-avengers-endgame-crossover-video\/\"><em>Avengers: Endgame<\/em><\/a>.
