Huawei is rolling out a firmware update, based on EMUI 10.1.0.122, to the P40, P40 Pro and likely P40 Pro+ in China, which brings a new AI 50MP camera mode.<\/p>\n

The new mode shoots multiple images over three seconds and then stacks them together for a resulting full resolution 50MP image. It aims to bring the best of both worlds, matching the resolution of a regular Bayer sensor with the Quad-Bayer imager inside the P40.<\/p>\n

Here’s a test shot of the 50MP AI mode in action.<\/p>\n
