Since\u00a0they first appeared on the\u00a0Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>islands of Southern Hemisphere players back in May, mushrooms have been all the rage by adding to the forest feel of cottagecore islands. Players may have already gotten their hands on mushroom furniture via online trading sites and Discord communities, but finally, Northern Hemisphere players can start collecting mushrooms and crafting them from scratch themselves.<\/p>\n

Mushrooms in\u00a0Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>will sprout all throughout the month of November for Northern Hemisphere folks (and May for Southern Hemisphere players) and will spawn near trees and come at different rates of rarity. There are five mushrooms types: flat, round, and skinny mushrooms, which are the most common the player will find, and elegant and rare mushrooms, which are far rarer. Luckily, however, only one rare mushroom is needed in the entire list of mushroom recipes.<\/p>\n

After gathering enough mushrooms in\u00a0New Horizons<\/em><\/a>, the player will have a ton of recipes that can be crafted, after the recipe cards are acquired. To get mushroom DIY recipes, the player will need to get them from presents in the sky by popping balloons.<\/p>\n

Similar to how cherry blossom recipes operated back in the springtime<\/a>, it looks like mushroom DIYs spawn at the same rate, so players may need to pop dozens before the full list of recipes is obtained. Some other materials are also required to craft some of these items.<\/p>\n

Additionally, for those wishing to get the adorable Mushroom Wreath, it can be acquired simply by listening to Isabelle’s morning announcements. Isabelle will send it directly to the player’s NookPhone<\/a> if they haven’t already learned the recipe, but when exactly this occurs has been up for debate in the\u00a0Animal Crossing: New Horizons\u00a0<\/em>community. Some say this should occur near the beginning of the mushroom-collecting season, but it seems as if it’ll trigger once no other notable announcement occurs (in lieu of Isabelle talking about what she watched on TV the night before).<\/p>\n
