For those in the northern hemisphere,\u00a0Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/strong><\/em> is now deep into autumn, bringing brilliant fall colors\u00a0and mushrooms to players’ islands. With a plethora of mushroom DIYs in Animal Crossing<\/em><\/a>, players are looking to get their hands on as much\u00a0fungi as possible.<\/p>\n

Now that the October pumpkin rush is over in Animal Crossing<\/em><\/a>, November will be all about mushrooms, mushroom DIYs, and changing trees. Players have a limited number of days to collect all the recipes, and also the mushrooms to craft them. There are some easy ways to increase the number of mushrooms that grow everyday, but players are going to need some empty space on their islands.<\/p>\n

If players are looking to make their Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/em> islands into a cozy autumn paradise<\/a>, they need to collect as many mushrooms as possible. A limit of five mushrooms can spawn on any island per day, and each will spawn underneath hardwood or cedar trees. They also very rarely can spawn under fruit trees. However, they never spawn on mystery islands that players can fly to with Nook Miles Tickets, so with this strict limit players need a plan to get all\u00a0five everyday.<\/p>\n

In order to get as many mushrooms as quickly as possible in New Horizons<\/em><\/a>, players should clear\u00a0any area near the bases of their oak and cedar trees, ensuring there is plenty of space for them to grow. That means removing any flowers, sticks, furniture, or weeds that are within one square of the tree’s base. Players\u00a0also may need to plant additional trees, which will require some spare space. Having at least 20 tress with empty bases will help to get fungi numbers up.<\/p>\n

Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/a><\/em>\u00a0Rare Mushrooms mimic real-life truffles in more than looks; players will only find them buried near trees. Make sure to dig up any star-shaped cracks in the ground all month as no one wants to miss these rare and pricey mushrooms.<\/p>\n

The mushrooms will only be around for the month of November. That gives players 30 days, with five mushrooms each day, for a grand total of 150 possible mushrooms. If nothing else, it should give players something to do while they wait to see what kind of plans that Nintendo has for the holidays. Hopefully, Christmas time will be as festive as it was in Animal Crossing:\u00a0New Leaf<\/em><\/a> and Pocket Camp<\/em>.<\/p>\n
