Connection errors and long queue times are standing in the way of players even logging into <em>Destiny 2<\/em>, let alone seeing what Bungie has prepared for the end of Season of Arrivals.<\/p>\n<p>Bungie has acknowledged that there are issues and the developers are working on a fix (or fixes). <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/destiny-2\/\">Destiny 2<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>and Bungie community manager Cozmo says that the studio has its \u201ctop people\u201d on the task of making sure everything gets back on track.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-end-season-event-beyond-light\/\">Destiny 2 Confirms End of Season Event Before Beyond Light<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As of now, there is no idea when the end of season event for <em>Destiny 2<\/em> might start, but there is a 24-hour maintenance downtime planned for later tonight. The servers are supposed to go down for the game while Bungie prepares for the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-beyond-light-launch-trailer\/\">launch of Beyond Light<\/a> tomorrow. In other words, the devs have somewhat of a ticking clock working against them.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, players are experiencing a number of issues when it comes to accessing the live event. The most common is a long queue time wherein players are put into a virtual place in time and then they will be let into the game in order. Unfortunately, the queues don&#8217;t seem to be moving at a decent pace and even then there are more issues waiting on the other side of the line.<\/p>\n<p><em>Destiny 2\u00a0<\/em>is also experiencing connection issues that generate a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-servers-down-baboon-fix-how-6-21-20\/\">error codes (from Weasel to Newt)<\/a>, which can kick players back into orbit or even all the way back to the login screen. So while some might take comfort in the fact that they made it through the queue, the worst is not necessarily behind them.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Cozmo23\/status\/1325959579704811520\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Even those players who are able to get into\u00a0<em>Destiny 2\u00a0<\/em>and load into The Tower are greeted with continuous &#8220;Contacting Destiny Servers&#8221; alerts, suggesting that the stability of their connection is not optimal. Plenty of players have reported that they can&#8217;t remain in the Tower for too long before they are botted back to the Destination map. From there, it becomes a new challenge in trying to get back into The Tower.<\/p>\n<p>There is clearly a lot of excitement surrounding the live event and what might occur. Speculation has covered everything from <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-image-beyond-light-traveler-old-tower\/\">the Traveler healing<\/a> to the Darkness ships destroying a planet.
