This time, tennis star Naomi Osaka was given early access to Sony&#8217;s latest console. The video, released today, featured Osaka talking about her relationship with gaming, before getting to play some of\u00a0<em>Resident Evil Village<\/em> ahead of its 2021 release.<\/p>\n<p>In the same\u00a0living room set as the one actor <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps5-michael-b-jordan-promo\/\">Michael B. Jordan played the PS5<\/a> in, Osaka revealed how she would play video games in-between tennis practice and matches to de-stress, especially during the tournaments of the WTA Tour. The Japanese tennis player also spoke of her affinity for MMORPGs,\u00a0<em>Apex Legends<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Overwatch<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"related-single\">RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps5-best-worst-design-aspects\/\">5 Best Things About The PS5 Design (&amp; 5 That Aren&#8217;t Great)<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Osaka got to play some next-gen games, like\u00a0<em>Marvel&#8217;s Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Resident Evil Village<\/em>, which will release in 2021. Despite her own admission of her dislike for horror games, Osaka seemed to be in good spirits when navigating through the desolate village. Osaka also noted of how the latest entry in the\u00a0<em>Resident Evil\u00a0<\/em>series will utilize the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps5-dualsense-controller-automatic-haptic-feedback\/\">haptic feedback hardware in the PS5&#8217;s DualSense controller<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zwJMpgj_cco?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Sony\u00a0has gotten a whole host of celebrities to promote the PS5, including soccer star Robert Lewandowski and rapper Travis Scott. Scott, real name Jacques Webster, is perhaps the most noted of the lineup, having been enlisted by Sony as a &#8220;strategic creative partner.&#8221; The\u00a0Houston rapper has been involved in two <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps5-launch-ad-travis-scott\/\">PS5 advertisements<\/a> so far,\u00a0one as a narrator\u00a0and the other in Sony&#8217;s take on the &#8220;Blown Away Guy&#8221; Maxell ads featuring a new colorway of the Nike SB Dunk Lows.<\/p>\n<p>While the PS5&#8217;s hyped launch is set to surpass that of the PS4&#8217;s, expectations should be tempered for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/ps5s-will-only-be-available-online-and-cant-be-purchased-in-store-says-sony\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PS5&#8217;s online-only launch day<\/a>\u00a0designed\u00a0to ensure the health and safety of purchasers, retailers, and the wider community. Those who have pre-ordered will have nothing to worry about, since their order will either be delivered or can be picked up in-store. For those who are looking to purchase on launch day, they will have to compete against bots in the online store of their chosen retailer.<\/p>\n<p>As for Naomi Osaka, 2020 has been an unusual year for her as it has been for most. The Japanese tennis player was initially on the WTA Tour,\u00a0but was forced to take a hiatus period as the tour was suspended due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
