Not only will players get access to the upcoming Rambo, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mortal-kombat-11-mileena-gameplay-trailer\/\">Mileena<\/a>, and Rain DLCs, they will also receive all of the game&#8217;s additional roster members, the <em>Aftermath\u00a0<\/em>expansion,\u00a0and a free visual upgrade for players\u00a0tuning in\u00a0on\u00a0Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.<\/p>\n<p>To sweeten the deal, it turns out\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/mortal-kombat-11\/\">Mortal Kombat 11<\/a>&#8216;s\u00a0<\/em>next-generation upgrade won&#8217;t result in a lower online player-base either, with NetherRealm\u00a0confirming today that the game will feature cross-generation play. That means whether fans are playing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, or PlayStation 5, they&#8217;ll all be able to\u00a0battle\u00a0each other online.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mortal-kombat-11-mileena-friendship-finisher\/\">Mortal Kombat 11 Director Shows Mileena&#8217;s Friendship Finisher<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Krossplay will become Kross Generation\u00a0for PlayStation &amp; Xbox players,&#8221; NetherRealm confirms in a recent tweet, claiming that\u00a0<em>Mortal Kombat\u00a0<\/em>veterans can switch on cross-generation play in the game&#8217;s settings. Sadly, it seems the feature won&#8217;t be coming to\u00a0PC or Nintendo Switch, exclusively sticking to both Microsoft and Sony&#8217;s console offerings. Microsoft has made a big push for the feature in particular, with\u00a0cross-generation\u00a0encompassing its\u00a0push to make the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X as compatible as possible.<\/p>\n<p>As for\u00a0<em>Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate,\u00a0<\/em>it seems cross-generation multiplayer will be more important than ever with the release date for <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mortal-kombat-11-kombat-pack-2-characters-mileena-rain-rambo\/\">Kombat Pack 2<\/a> drawing ever closer. The new expansion will bring 3 new characters to the game: Rambo, Mileena, and Rain. Rambo will come equipped with his weapons from the films, including a bow, a machine gun, and explosives, while Rain utilizes the power of water to pick foes apart. Returning favorite Mileena, on the other hand, has her dual-sais as well as the ability to teleport and even turn invisible.
