Sending a package full of goodies themed around the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/ps5\/\">PS5<\/a>, the PlayStation player has been awarded for his dedication 7 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>The gift has been a long time coming for Joey Chiu, the PlayStation fan that showed incredible patience back when the previous Sony console launched. Waiting in line for hours and hours, Chiu\u2019s dedication earned him the recognition of being the very first PlayStation 4 owner. If that were not enough, however, Chiu doubled down and waited in line once again <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps5-power-ps4-pro\/\">for the PlayStation 4 Pro<\/a>, making him a two-time holder of the first adopter title.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/playstation-5-travis-scott-ad\/\">New PlayStation 5 Ad Features Travis Scott<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>With the COVID-19 pandemic ruining the common\u00a0practice of waiting in line for the latest console launch, it would seem like Chiu\u2019s streak of getting a PlayStation console as early as possible was destined to come to an end. However, Sony came to the rescue, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps5-consoles-shipping\/\">shipping a PlayStation 5 console<\/a> to Chiu as well as a few other special goodies. The special package was posted by Chiu on Twitter, with the gamer saying that \u201cthis is the craziest thing to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Shinogu\/status\/1326191206137819137?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Chiu\u2019s version of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/playstation-5-console-review-sony-spider-man\/\">the heavily praised PlayStation 5 console<\/a> comes with a special plaque from Sony that acknowledges the gamer\u2019s past achievements, reading \u201cpatience is a virtue\u201d and \u201cthis is for you.\u201d With Chiu\u2019s name on the award as well as both \u201cfirst in line\u201d titles, the early access to the console and custom-made trophy would have been enough to satisfy any loyal fan. Sony went above and beyond, though, providing Chiu with another valuable reward.<\/p>\n<p>According to a follow-up tweet where Chiu responded to another PlayStation fan, the gamer was also given a \u201cdigital code that has the whole launch lineup\u201d for the PS5. With that one code providing access to exclusive games <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/be-yourself-marvels-spider-man-miles-morales-commercial\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">like <em>Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/em><\/a> and <em>Demon\u2019s Souls<\/em>, Chiu is receiving hundreds of dollars\u2019 worth of games for free to go along with his new console. As expected, the fan is blown away by the special acknowledgement from Sony, and his overjoyed reaction to the package is incredibly wholesome.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Shinogu\/status\/1326207359044161537?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Sony\u2019s special gift to Joey Chiu is a great example of positive fan interaction ahead of the console launch, and it is nice to see the company remember his dedication all those years ago.
